Bow windows usually consist of at least 4 panels to form a round-looking window. The maximum number of panels that can be used is 8 and, much like bay windows, they extend outwards of the home. This creates extra space in that room where you can place extra seating or built-in ledge. This is often the most popular spot in the home to relax, read a book, and enjoy a relaxing beverage while taking in the view. In the case of a ledge, the space below can be closed off with doors in order to offer additional storage for various items.
Unlike bay windows, bow windows have a more gentle shape and are not comprised of such sharp angles.
